Whats The Point was born out of a simple frustration shared by serious darts players everywhere: stock points let you down. They bounce out, they slip from the board, and they cost you scores that should have counted. We set out to fix that — not with a minor tweak, but with a complete rethink of how a dart point should grip a sisal board.
We are a specialist darts equipment brand, obsessed with the detail that most manufacturers overlook: the point. Every millimetre of our points is engineered with intention, combining premium materials with proprietary grip machining developed in-house — grip levels you won't find anywhere else.
Why Points Matter
The point is the first thing that meets the board. It determines whether your dart beds in cleanly, holds its position, or deflects your next throw. Premium tungsten barrels deserve premium points — yet most players are still using the same stock tips they came with.
We believe that every dart you throw should count. That's the point.
Our Custom Grip System
We machine every point with a proprietary grip profile. Each level is engineered to interact with sisal fibres differently — giving you the board hold you need for your playing style. We can apply any grip to any point we sell. The options are endless, and the choice is yours.
STRIPPER GRIP — Lvl 2/5
A light surface-level radial grip giving a noticeable improvement over smooth points. Tiny micro grooves running in a radial pattern grab sisal fibres while remaining easy to remove from the board when new.
GRIPPER GRIP — Lvl 3/5
A rough, deep surface-level ring grip that feels great on the finger and really grabs the board with flight-facing micro peaks and valleys. Gripper locks into sisal fibres — guaranteeing every dart score counts.
TWISTER GRIP — Lvl 3.5/5
Our newest grip to market. Twister is first outer-coated with Gripper to give the high spots a stronghold, then passed with a smooth 45° deep cut in an offset pattern to give the illusion of a constant twisted profile. They can literally be unscrewed from the board.
RIPPER LITE — Lvl 3.5/5
Ripper Lite brings the same deep pattern as Ripper, but is finally passed with a Stripper finish to imitate the smoothing effect of using Ripper points over time — making them easy to remove from new.
PENTA-RIP — Lvl 4.5/5
A totally unique grip pattern. The point is adjusted into a smooth pentagon profile, then ripped with a precise series of deep hold points to give a sharp corner and rough divot — delivering high-level board hold unlike anything else available.
RIPPER GRIP — Lvl 5/5
The ultimate board hold. An aggressive deep pattern with Gripper peaks and deep offset valleys that allow sisal to bed around the point — delivering grip in two ways simultaneously. No bounce-outs. No compromises.
